RC CARNIVAL (5-7th September)

Return of the popular RC Carnival in 2025!
​
A weekend of all types of RC racing, covering off Vintage, Modern and everything in between, known as "outlaw" cars, which are welcome at this event!.
This year our modern cars get a "sanctioned event" experience and the outlaw cars get to play back on the dirt, and vintage sees us through on a Saturday evening..
​
The "Modern" race program will see ALL class qualifiers happen on Saturday 6th (am) and ALL mains run on Sunday 7th September, where "new/exclusive" prizes, along with vouchers, will be awarded to podium winners.
​
DUE TO THE HEAVY WEEKEND SCHEDULE, THERE WILL BE LIMTED ENTRIES AND CAPPED CLASSES.

Schedule.

Friday: 5th Sep – Open practice both tracks for those that want too.

Saturday 6th Sep (8am) – SIC Surface -ALL MODERN CLASSES – 4 x QUALIFIERS Best 2/4, Qual points awarded as per IFMAR (estimated finish 2pm)

Saturday 6th Sep (Approx 2.30pm – 6pm) Dirt – Vintage and Outlaw racing. 3 x Heads up rounds. best 2/3 count.

Sunday 7th Sep (8am) – 3 X ALL CLASSES MAINS. IFRMAR rules. Also, 10 drivers will be given a chance to put down a hot lap in front of their racing peers. (Estimated finish time, 2pm)

"Clubby's"
Club days are run fortnightly as shown on our event calendar.
Racing usually starts at 8am sharp and is finished up by around 3pm, pending numbers.
The usual format is 2 x 5min Qualifiers and 3 x 5min (mains), but often mix thing up a little to keep it interesting.

Lunch and drinks are available for purchase and there are EFTPOS facilities at track.
Lookout for our call for race day nominations, which includes our format for the day, which are posted on "Facebook/Chargers RC Pit Lane" the week of racing.
Race entry and pre-payments are made via our website.
Race fees are half price for members! (If you run more than 4 club days, its cheaper being a member)

2025 Chargers RC Grand Prix (23rd March)
The 2025 Chargers RC Grand Prix event is a new event scheduled for Sunday 23rd March The event is an all day event commencing at 7.30am and will test driver and machine.
​

There are no control tyres.
​
Following a similar format to a 'Reedy' format race, there are random grid finals only with up to 12 drivers in each final. There are no qualifying rounds and your best 2 from 3 rounds count.
​​
Races are as follows:
Juniors: 3 x 7-minute races
All other classes: 3 x 10-minute races
Capped entries, limit of 2 classes. 3rd class preference will be allocated the week before the event day.
The cost is $20 for first class and $10 for second class and nominated 3rd class. Junior class is free and juniors can race a second class for $10. Class numbers are strictly capped and one a class is full there will be no more entries. You can nominate a 3rd class preference on the entry form which may be allocated to you if there are entries spots left after 10 November. Cost for third class is $10.

2025 Members Series (R1 - 4th May)

3 Exciting rounds, each with a different format, where members get compete against each other and points are awarded based on end of day results. On the completion of Round 3, your best 2 rounds of the series count to your total points tally and trophy's are awarded.

TOP 10 POSITIONS IN EACH CLASS ARE AWARDED A TROPHY!!!
​ONLY MEMBERS ARE ELIGABLE FOR TROPHY'S. (anyone is welcome to join in any round of the series to be eligible).
Non-members are welcome to participate.

Round 1 (Longer format)- Sunday 4th May

Round 3 - (Standard with a twist) Sunday 1st June

Entries and fees are submitted as per entering a clubby using the nomination form on the website.​

Points are awarded based on your finishing position for the day. (100pts for 1st, 98 for 2nd, 96 for 3rd, 94 for 4th .....etc). A bonus point is awarded to the TQ (when qualifiers are part of the format). 3 bonus points awarded if you attend all 3.​​​​

TRUCK N OUTLAW (15th and 16th November)

After a strong entry list in 2025, Truck' N Outlaw is back for another year.​ This year though we have our DIRT track ready to include those Vintage rides!
​
PLUS - outlaw cars will also run on the dirt track this year, which is where they once thrived!
PLUS - we are inviting pre 2020 Outlaw 2WD buggy's to come out and play on the SIC track (Mid motor ok!!!)
​
A weekend where we put all our love into our trucks and also get to reconnect with our once loved buggies that have been side-lined due to the newer stuff out there.
​
📢 Will have some Fun on both days with a hot lap shootout for 10 volunteers! Heckling encouraged
​
FORMAT will be 2 x Qualifiers, 3 Mains. reverse grid M2. B1 Bump. All 5 minute runs.
​
Racing both days to kick off 8am.

Chargers Enduro (7th December)

Our Chargers Enduro is always our final event of the year. It is a celebration of being part of an awesome club, racing as a team with your mates, testing you and your cars endurance, and enjoying some final track time and banter.

EVENT INFORMATION
WHEN: Sunday 7th December 9-12pm (SIC Surface)
DURATION: 3-hour race event, then lunch.
COST: $10 per racer (Includes Lunch and drinks) Pay at track
11 x Teams available PLUS 2 Wildcard teams (see below)

GENERAL RULES

Teams of 4-6 drivers

Drivers to remain in same sequence order over 3 hours, with 10 lap minimum per stint.

Max of 2 Elite Drivers per team. (See below)

Each team is only allowed 2 full sets of Tyres, Spare set kept at race control. (better be kind to them)

Open Motor, 2S battery.

Teams must always have a team member marshalling.

20 Lap BONUS for running a 2WD or Truck*

20 Lap BONUS for teams with a junior member in their team (Junior is defined as less than 16 that has competed in the Junior club class for most of 2025.) See below for Juniors which are excluded.

2 RACE OPTIONS

OPTION 1
Team runs a SINGLE car. (as per general rules above)

The car is shared by drivers,
-
Tyre changes when team decides, 2 Set limit, swapped with race control.
TIP: Driver changes usually occur during battery changes.
OPTION 2
Run 2-6 cars (as per general rules above)
​

Teams need to run all the same drivetrain (all 2WDs, all 4WD’s all Stado’s, or all SCT’s)
-
.2 Set tyre limit applies, shared across all cars (you must do a wheel change when swapping drivers/cars)
-
When swapping to 2nd set of tyres, waiting car must be “wheel-less” until on track car has exited and stopped. (next car cannot have 2nd set of wheels installed ready to go)
-
Use your own transponders. (swapping not required).
WILDCARD TEAMS.
-
If you don’t have a team and want to participate with your own car, or just want to be part of a random group of legends, A 2WD team and a 4WD team will be available for you to join.

Teams will have to arrange their own 2 full sets of tyres
