Event Location

Chargers RC is located within Andre Rippoll Park in Carole Park, QLD with direct roadside access from Cobalt Street. The address is 215 Cobalt Street, Carole Park Qld 4300.

Key Dates

Registrations open

Thursday 8th September – Registrations close. Late registrations will be accepted but not seeded.

Sunday 11th September - Warm up event. Track closed from Sunday 18th September.

Wednesday 21st September - Sign-in and Scruitineering (8-10am) with controlled practice sessions all day.

Thursday 22nd September – Sign-in and Scrutineering (8-10am) with controlled practice in the morning followed by Seeding rounds in the afternoon (1 x 5 minute session per class - top 3 consecutive laps)

Friday 23rd September – 2WD Junior Stock, 2WD Stock and 2WD Modified. Drivers briefing to commence at 7:30am, the day is expected to finish by 5pm.

Saturday 24th September – 4WD Stock and 4WD Modified. Drivers briefing to commence at 7:30am, the day is expected to finish by 5pm.

Sunday 25th September – 2WD Stadium Truck and Short Course Truck. Drivers briefing to commence at 7:30am, the day is expected to finish by 5pm.

Entries

Entries must be submitted via the online Race Registration form by clicking the link above. No paper form is available. Entries will be capped per class with remaining spots available displayed on the entry form.

Classes will be capped as follows (subject to change pending entries):

2WD Stock Junior - 30
2WD Stock - 50
2WD Mod - 50
4WD Stock - 50
4WD Mod - 50
2WD Stadium Truck - 50
Short Course Truck - 50

Payment is required at the time of entry either by PayPal or Debit/Credit card (via PayPal).

Requests to add/remove a class or withdraw an entry must be emailed to the club here.

Fees

First Class* $80

Additional Classes (each) $40

*All registered racers that attend the event will be entitled to an event cap to celebrate the running of the 2022 National Championships. Caps will be provided as part of the entrant kit and can be collected from scrutineering on Wednesday/Thursday. 1 cap per racer only. You must attend the event to claim a cap.

Transponders

MyLaps Gen 4 only

Our LiveTime system will only identify MyLaps RC4 generation transponders (see RC4 and RC4 Pro below). AMB, AMBrc and non-MyLaps branded transponders (e.g MRT) are not supported at our track.

Race Format

Practice and Seeding

2 days of controlled practice (Wednesday AM/PM and Thursday AM)
Classes will be separated and given proportionate track time based on entry numbers
Seeding rounds on Thursday PM will be used to seed Qualifying rounds
Maximum 13 drivers on the track at any given time.
Once your practice/seeding session has expired, you will be expected to Marshall the next session

Qualifying

4 rounds per class (reseeding after Q2)
1 warm-up lap then 5 minutes per round + final laps
Drivers reseeded after Q2 based on results (i.e., top drivers grouped together)
IFMAR staggered start
3 number stickers per car (front & side windows)

Finals

3 final rounds for 'A, B and C' Mains within each class
1 warm-up lap then 5 minutes per final round + final laps
Maximum 10 drivers per final (A and B Mains)
3 Number stickers per car (front & side windows)

BUGGY

Rear - Proline Positron S3 Compound with v2 closed cell insert (SKU: PRO8256-203)
4WD Front - Proline Electron S3 Compound with v2 closed cell insert (SKU: PRO8240-203)

STADIUM TRUCK

There will be no control tyre for this class. Competitors may use any tyre.

SHORT COURSE TRUCK

There will be no control tyre for this class. Competitors may use any tyre.
